Feel the Soul of Ireland

Our journey begins in the tribal city of Galway before we venture into the heart of the wild and wonderful landscape of Connemara National Park. We have an intimate insight into old Irish traditions at the shores of Killary Harbour before an exhilarating bike ride (or walk) on the Great Western Greenway with magnificent views of Clew Bay and the Wild Atlantic Coast.

On Achill Island famous for its soaring mountains and dramatic cliffs and seascapes we relax into island life before exploring the hidden treasures.

You will enjoy wandering through pretty villages, meeting colourful characters, listening to traditional Irish music and folklore, learning about the culture and history. You will stay in small, unique accommodation and enjoy local produce.

To really experience Ireland, you need to feel it – feel its land, its rain, its temperate climate and most of all – its soul. This is a country that cannot be rushed and exploring it on foot is one of the best ways to experience it, meet the “locals”, come face to face with thousands of years of history and see what it is that makes Irish people so unique.

Spanish Camino de Santiago

Discover the Camino de Santiago along this picturesque region of Spain on foot, as seen in the film “The Way”.

Our fully supported journey is through the most picturesque parts, starting from Leon, one of the greatest cities in Spain and finishing in Santiago de Compostella, from the central high plateau and crossing the hilly lands of Galicia. One of the most beautiful parts of the Camino, and of course the most rewarding!

Our Camino de Santiago walk is approx 140 kms, and in order to attain the official Compostella you must walk the last 100km unassisted. Our tour does include that as well as the opportunity to visit other nearby areas along the Camino so you can enjoy the Spanish countryside and small towns that are off the beaten track. We also include a day trip to Finisterre and walk along the cliff moorland as a fitting end to this journey.

The Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago – the Camino de Santiago as it is called in Spanish, or “The Way of St. James” is a journey of the soul and spirit, that takes the traveller in the footsteps of millions of others over a millennium. Today, the Camino – “One of the world’s 2 or 3 great journeys”, according to American writer James Michener – is undergoing a renaissance unlike anything known since the 13th century peak of the pilgrimage. Modern-day ‘pilgrims’, like their forerunners, come from all over, but nowadays those with purely religious motives are joined by lovers of adventure, art, history and legends, all with a desire to take part in an experience that is unique in the modern Western world.

Join this amazing fully supported walk carrying only a small daypack with a small group of women.
