Amalfi Coast, Italian Cooking Tour

Cooking’s just the half of it!

The Amalfi coast is one of Italy’s top destinations with the most breathtaking scenery.  Stretching about 50 km along the southern side of the Sorrentine Penninsula. Here you will find cliffs terraced with lemon groves go right down to the glittering sea, white washed villas cling to the unforgiving slopes, and the views are to die for. No visit to Amalfi is complete without spending a day on the island of Capri- often described as the “blue island”.
Amalfi has a reputation for great food whether that’s San Marzano tomatoes straight off the vine or the enormous and intensely aromatic lemons, so perfect for making the famous limoncello. During this week long holiday you will also get the chance to visit an artisan fior di latte (mozzarella cheese) producer too.

The cooking lessons are hands-on, relaxed and fun with our small group working with the chef to produce some of these dishes:
pasticciotti (pastry tart oozing with lemon custard- best eaten with a strong Neopolitan coffee!) , tonati e patate (calamari), spaghetti al limone, ricci e peperoncini (typical handmade pasta with fresh tomato & chilli sauce), marinated anchovies, fresh local seafood including parpandalo shrimps, prawns, clams and fish baked on lemon leaves.

Our Venue – Villa Praiano set on cliffs between Amalfi and Positano, now fully restored, this unique property provides a wonderful holiday setting with spectacular views. There is a swimming pool on the upper terrace as well as steps down to give access to the sea.
